I received this ARC from the LibraryThing Early Reviewers list. It is the second book in the Nathanial Cade series. A fascinating premise and will executed this is not unlike a presidential thriller with fantasy elements. Ok, it is exactly like a presidential thriller with fantasy elements. It reminds me of Jennifer Rardin’s Jaz Parks series. Cade has been working for the White House for over 100 years. His handler is Zach Barrows. In this novel, Cade and Barrows are trying to track down someone who is making horrible lizardlike creatures out of humans. But how do you know who is friend and who is foe? You don’t which makes it that much more thrilling. I was very impressed with this novel which comes out next month and definitely want to dive into more of the series (ok, there is only one other book, but I definitely want to read that one)
