In the second book in the House of Night Series, Zoey Redbird once again goes on a quest sanctioned by Nyx, the vampire goddess, to save her ex-boyfriend. Inaddition, she is now the leader of the Daughters of Darkness and she, along with her friends, discover they have powers bestowed on them by the goddess. This is a great ya vampire book full of angst, drama, friendships and rivalries. It also clearly conveys a strong female deity which I think rocks! Vampires have been portrayed in so many ways and has recently become the new It think to write about. But this series has a completely new spin that makes it fresh and new. I love the development of the characters and can see some really interesting plots developing. So far I feel like we have only touched the tip of the iceberg and that great things are on their way in the rest of the series. I can’t wait to see where Zoey goes next!

there is a new book called chosen of this series. It sent chills up my back and had me reading till 1:55 in the morning. I lOVE this series and i cant wait till the next one comes out in the fall of 2008 so keep ur eyes peeled
this series is almost as good as twilight and harry potter but with a thrill of its own.

all i can really say is….WOW! i mean i never thought that anything could even come close to twilight but like i said WOW! i cant say its better than twilight though because the romance in twilight is 10 times better than the one in this book but….u never know wat might happen as zoey and her vamp man get closer(duh-duh-duhhhh). im a hopless mushy-gushy romantic so untill the love plot thickens with these books, im gonna have to say twilight is still most definatly numeral uno!!!!(BUT SERIOSLY THESE BOOKS FREAKIN ROCK!!!)

I think these books are soooo good. i cant wait for the next one. as far as twilight being better… well its a totally different book! the plot and the way vamps are view are too different for me to jugde. but i have to say that these books go on the top 5 for my list!!!

Your books are amazing! I just read all three of them this weekend (one day per book) and i have never enjoyed a book so much! i live in Oklahoma, and i especially liked the references of down town. It has always been a beautiful but slightly scary place. i am a Twilight fan as well, but these cannot compare, simply because of the fact that this book contains a hard ass heroine, and twilight is always a damsel in distress. ( dont tell Stephenie M, but i prefer hard ass heroines over sappy girls!) Cant wait for the fourth book!

well, i accidentally read this one first, and then the third one too, before i got the first one, and it annoyed me, because there was very little in the first book that i did not learn about in the second one.
This book is really great and you are finding out that Neferet is the bad guy not Aphrondite. You also find out that Zoey loves Erik, Haeth, and Loren.
well i’m still reading betrayed and so far itz really good:) i like the way the author puts it all together it keeps me on my toes and i luv books like that

I just started reading the house of night novels and I think they are great!!!! I can not help but to compare them to the Twilight series(which is one of the best series I have ever read) I am hoping to fall in love with the charicters in these books as much as the ones from Twilight. It is showing great potential to being one of my faves, I think if you like vamps and hardcore chics this is a great series for you.

best book i’ve read in a while. loved twilight and this is pretty close, if not better to me. only problem i hve is that there is’nt as much romance as i would have liked. Vampires (Vampyres) need romance and love too!!! still love it thoe 🙂

Maybe y’all should read The Vampire Diaries sometimes. They’re just as good as Twilight, maybe even better. I have only read Marked but can’t wait to read the others!!
