In the past, I would have loved this book, but since I have been teaching classes on good relationships, I was horrified. Livia Lacey falls for Prince Alex Prokov, a Russian prince, and decides to marry him after only a few encounters. Now granted, it is set in the 18th century, but still, it bothered me. Both lied to each other and neither trusted each other with the truth. Then, once married, neither knew what the other expected and so they were miserable. In the end, they decide that love will conquer all, but I can’t see that anything was really resolved. So I am sorry to say that I greatly disliked this book.
